Correcting Behaviors

One of our readers Antonnella gave us a helpful link from Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, to an article called LIMA which stands for Least Intrusive Minimal Aversive. It's mostly an article about positive reinforcement when training your dog (which we love!) and how to create a safe, and effective training environment for both you and your dog.

When training your own service dog, you're learning as much as your dog is, you two are a team, if one of you isn't understanding the other, there's no balance. So we love this method when it comes to training. Patience is key, and treatos always help the situation too!
